I am a person who enjoys a laugh! This is why I began a career working with Young People. I worked as a Youth worker in RCT and after University (Studied Science then progressed into Sports Studies where I got a 2:1). I worked in a Secondary school supporting KS4 in their Science GCSE's. Through this role I developed excellent relationships with the young people I worked with. I do not take myself seriously and will always put a young person's wellbeing before anything else. I am a kinaesthetic learner so love to make work engaging for all ages and abilities.
Subject Specialism: Sport Coaching, Mentoring, Personal and Social Education, and Work-Related Education
I started my journey of Coaching/Mentoring through the Golf Industry. After turning professional I held a coaching position at a local Golf Club where I was planning, preparing, and delivering sessions to individuals and groups of all ages. I was then lucky enough to take my skill sets and move into education working at a High School offering learning support to the behavioural unit, as well as covering classes. Throughout both roles I enjoyed recognising different learning styles and building relationships but mostly seeing others develop themselves further.
I joined the HIT Education team after finding out what they offer and the values they stand for. I struggled in school; I was disengaged, uninterested and In fact discouraged due to the fact I was disruptive. Since leaving school and working in different areas I have developed skills that help me to recognise difficulties learners have and build on them positively.
Subject Specialism: Personal Training, Personal and Social Education, Work-Related Education
I have a sport and leisure background with 5 years experience in different roles. Have had experience planning and delivering swimming lessons for children and also planning and delivering exercise sessions to small groups of people. I also have experience in creating exercise programmes for individuals tailored to their goals and following this up with 1-1 exercise sessions. I aimed to make sessions as fun as possible while also remaining challenging and I personally place big value in trying to build strong relationships with the service users.

My first experience working with young people was teaching drama at a local performing arts company, that I progressed through from the age of 12. Following this I gained a First Class degree in Education, and became TEFL qualified. I love travelling, with my record being 33 flights in one year! I hoped to teach disadvantaged children abroad after university, however during the Pandemic I decided to enter the overwhelmed Health and Social care sector to help out where I could instead. I now have 4 years experience in Health and Social care, working in a variety of sectors including mother & baby, children’s residential homes, ALN, and unregulated emergency placements. Throughout these roles I realised how much I wanted to positively support, motivate and better the lives and mental health of young people, which I strive to do with pupils attending HIT.
Subject Specialism: Youth Engagement, Community Justice, Criminology, Personal and Social Education, Work-Related Education
I have over 12 years’ experience working with young people in a mixture of settings from the Youth offending service, Statutory Youth services as well as youth charities .
I didn’t start off wanting to work with young people, I wanted to pursue a career in the Police Force. I have a degree in Criminology & Community justice. Part of my degree was to complete a placement, I chose to work with The Youth Offending Service, this is where I really found my passion for youth work and I haven’t looked back since.
I’m keen and motivated, and I am a huge advocate for young people! Within my career I’ve worked in schools delivering qualifications and supporting young people who had been removed from mainstream education. I have delivered various qualifications and training such as BTEC SWEET & Agored these included subjects such as health and wellbeing, independent living skills, money management, substance misuse, risky behaviours and much more. I have lead many projects with young people and have more recently managed projects within the charity sector. I’ve spent time coaching football most recently Cardiff City Ladies Under 12’s.
I love music, I play the guitar and the drums and have been in a few bands over the years. I enjoy sport (watching and playing) and spending time with my friends and family.
I love being part of HIT Education as I’m getting to meet many amazing young people who have already taught me so much.
Subject Specialism: English, Maths, Music Education, Personal and Social Education, and Work-Related Education
My passion is music. I love any genre of music and enjoy listening to music young people are interested in. I have a passion to educate people whether that be in; music, sport, health and well being, maths, English or how to make a simple cup of tea. I feel pride watching others succeeding in something I helped them achieve and get great satisfaction being a part of a persons learning journey.
I have had over 4 years experience being a music teacher in a young offenders institution. There I learned a lot about young people and the talent that lies beneath a tough and complex exterior. I also developed skills that have helped me deal with difficult individuals who have been misunderstood and deprived of belief from others.
I have had experience working in schools, working as a training provider to young people and adults. I have over 14 years experience teaching starting with teaching guitar from home developing into a music degree and a teaching degree.
I joined HIT Education because I believe in what they stand for and what they do. I see so much potential in the staff and even more in the young people they have dedicated their time into up skilling and educating. I hope to add to this team and provide my skills and assets to help with the education of young people and do so with a smile and a laugh along the way.
Subject Specialism: Employability, Youth Development, NEETs Support, Personal and Social Education, and Work-Related Education
I have worked in training and education for over 10 years, with my passion as an employability coach helping young people to develop skills and experience necessary for finding employment. During this time, specialising in supporting NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) has been particularly rewarding, allowing me to aid and develop disadvantaged young people. Being able to positively impact young people's lives, motivating and engaging them within training and education, and witnessing their progression to great achievements, is incredibly rewarding. When I had the opportunity to join Hit Education, I felt it was the perfect match for me, allowing me to make a positive impact and to support young people's mental health and wellbeing, which is where my strengths truly shine.
Subject Specialism: Youth Engagement, Homelessness Support, ADHD Awareness, Personal and Social Education, and Work-Related Education
I started my journey by volunteering with several youth community groups in my area, through my children. It was here that I realised I had a natural ability to communicate effectively with young people. This realisation led me to leave my ten-year-long job at the council to pursue a career in youth work, embarking on a BA (Hons) in Youth Work and Community at Cardiff Met University. My path then led me to a youth homelessness charity, where I worked as a Support Assistant with 16-24-year-olds living in shared accommodation. Often working alone, I supported them in every aspect of their lives, day and night. I quickly progressed to the role of Support Worker, taking on additional responsibilities and extending my support to people within the wider community.
Now, I bring my wealth of experience to HIT Education, where I can relate to young people who are struggling within the school environment. Having faced my own challenges with ADHD during my formative years, I offer a unique perspective. I bring energy, enthusiasm, and resilience to every young person I work with, helping to shape their lives positively.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, socialising with friends, playing basketball, football, and listening to drum and bass music.
Subject Specialism: Sports Education, Inclusion and Diversity, Youth Development, Personal and Social Education, and Work-Related Education
I have spent the past seven years working within the education system, supporting children in both primary and secondary schools. My primary focus has been on inspiring the next generation through sports, especially rugby.
I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals in the inclusion and diversity sector. Seeing individuals grow and develop, becoming comfortable in their surroundings, is incredibly rewarding.
Personally, I found mainstream education challenging at times. Staying engaged in lessons and finding the motivation to complete tasks were difficult for me. Sport became my outlet, allowing me to strive for and achieve my goals.
From the ages of 10 to 15, I was fortunate enough to represent my county in rugby. Following this, I joined the Dragons Junior Academy, where I played from the ages of 16 to 18. Rugby has always been a significant part of my life, playing a key role in shaping who I am today.
I have continued to play rugby for my local club, NHSOB, for 16 years, having started at the age of 7. I also volunteer regularly at my club, inspiring the younger generation to open up and express themselves through rugby.

Since leaving school in 2013, I’ve immersed myself in the sports sector, starting as a sports coach for my local council. After gaining life-changing experiences and travelling across the USA, I pursued a degree in Sports Development & Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University. During this time, I had the opportunity to work as a development officer for a social inclusion programme, providing me with invaluable hands-on experience in professional sports development.
My career journey has taken me through various sectors, including education and social care, where I discovered my true passion for helping young people reach their full potential. I’m committed to creating opportunities for all young people, fostering strong relationships that encourage them to thrive both personally and academically.
Outside of work, I’m an avid rugby player, a regular at the gym, and I’ve even stepped into the ring for a charity boxing match. I believe that sport and exercise are vital for young people’s well-being and development.

I’m Natasha, an enthusiastic individual with a love for learning, teaching, and sports. My journey began with a BSc in Sports Studies from the University of South Wales, which allowed me to deepen my understanding of physical education and the role it plays in child development. I later completed my PGCE Primary with QTS at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I gained invaluable experience teaching children of all ages, as well as supporting ALN learners, and planning engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. These experiences have helped me become skilled at adapting to different learning styles and ensuring that all students feel included, motivated, and capable of success.
But it’s not all work—I’m a huge sports fan, both as a player and a coach. I’ve played netball and rugby for years and love the teamwork and community that come with these sports. When I’m not on the field or in the classroom, I enjoy staying active, and listening to music to unwind. Through all my experiences, whether in education or my personal life, I’ve developed a friendly, positive, and patient attitude that helps me connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. I’m always eager to pick up new skills, adapt to any situation, and continue learning, whether it’s from my students, colleagues, or new opportunities.

I am also passionate about sports, particularly football, running, and golf. I’ve had the privilege of representing North Somerset in football and scoring at Ashton Gate. Additionally, I played 72 holes of golf in one day for a charity event, raising over £1,500. In 2025, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon.
I chose to join HIT because I believe we share a common goal: helping everyone achieve and progress, regardless of their circumstances. I am eager to bring my skills and experience to HIT, making a positive impact and supporting everyone I work with.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Business and Coaching, with a deep-rooted passion for both sports and education. Throughout my academic journey, I completed various placements in SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) environments, where I facilitated sports sessions and mentored students within the classroom. These experiences honed my understanding of physical education and the specific needs of diverse learners.
Following my studies, I spent a year as a 1-to-1 teaching assistant within a special resource base at a secondary school in Monmouthshire. This role sharpened my skills in communication, patience, and adaptability, as I provided tailored support to students, ensuring their unique learning requirements were met.
My love for sports began at the age of 8 when I started boxing, ultimately representing South England. The discipline, determination, and focus that boxing instilled in me are qualities I bring to all aspects of my professional and personal life.
